Meet Bumpy

Available for adoption! Bumpus is almost 6 months old and 8 pounds, and a sweet mix of Jack Russell and Yorkie. This sweet boy is a bit timid initially, but loves to play with other dogs, and is Velcro once he’s comfortable, which doesn’t take long. He really wants a home with a playful dog who will also cuddle with him, but he tends to be a bit codependent on other dogs, so would do best with a more confident dog or as an only with play opportunities. Bumpus tends to be a bit sensitive and more focused on his people than his sister, and initially struggled with crate training and separation, but has been doing well with lots of positive reinforcement and time. He is working on puppy training and needs some work on house training, but he’s trying.

Bumpus is good with other dogs and cats, and has done well with respectful older kids.

Please help us welcome Bumpus “Bumpy” to Yorkie Luv Rescue. This sweet Yorkie/Jack Russell Terrier mix is 5 months old and 8 pounds, and is very new to his foster home. His foster says that he and his sister are amazing little dogs. He is a bit timid, but incredibly sweet and smart. His original owner had done a good amount of training, so he came house broken and he has some basic training, which we are continuing to work on.

He loves to cuddle, but has also made friends with a young dog in his foster home, and loves to play with her.

Bumpus came to us not fully weight bearing on his right hind leg, and he needs that checked out. He also needs more vaccines, a microchip, and to be neutered.
